Wow Mr. Harris! Were to begin? You have the best job in the world. You have such class and passion for what you do. Never quit, please! I was born and raised in Durham and while attending Basketball and Football games I knew nothing else other than your voice calling the game. Win or loose I still love to listen to players reactions as well as coaches comments. As I listen to those classic moments in Duke atheletics in sends chills down my spine and tears of joy pour out. Mr Harris, Duke is so lucky to have you, we love you and what you done for Duke is amazing. I miss Matthew Lawrence and hope he is doing well. I hope you plan to attend the Make-A -Wish tournament in Myrtle Beach in August. I work at the Marriott and enjoyed talking with you when you were here last. Can't wait for the book! The title should simply be: How Sweet It Is! Take care Mr. Harris and I hope everyone is healthy and happy. Life long DUKE FAN! Brian Beskie Myrtle BEach, SC

Dear Bob and Phyllis, I was thrilled to come across this website. The sight of your smiles on the homepage picture literally brought tears of joy to my eyes. The lessons that I have gained from you about honesty, integrity, and treating all people with respect and kindness amount to a debt that I can never repay. May God bless you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving. Sincerely, Stan Tso

Hey, Bob (aka Mr. Harris when I was kid and you were living on Robin Road) - It's been way too long since we last spoke (Texas Roadhouse, I believe). Just wanted to let you know how much I have appreciated your work all these years. It is comforting to hear that familiar voice for Duke football and Bball broadcasts. Always wishing you the best - looking forward to the book.

Hey Bob.. when Duke is on TV, whether football or basketball, I turn the sound down and turn the radio UP.. no one carries a game like you.. Bobbi did a great job on this site.. thanks for the honor and privilege of knowing you and your family... all the way from the "Quarterback Club" 'til now...looking forward to many more seasons with you behind the mike.. sincerely, Bryant Walker

Just wanted to say hey and thanks for all your years of service. I'm most amazed at how you can sit through all those close games. I have the ability to change the channel if things aren't going so well...you have to sit there and be a professional...truly amazing. Also, I just added your link to my website at: http://www.dukereport.com

Bob, I've been listening to your broadcasts since the mid 70's. I've attended many basketball and football games over the years and always rushed to my car, after the games, to hear your postgame comments and locker room interviews. You are the best and the Blue Devils are lucky to have you. I had the pleasure of meeting you at the Maui Invitational in 1992. You probably don't remember but I'll never forget.

What a great site! Your daughter's work is fantastic (not at all proud, are ya'?) but then she had very extraordinary material to work with! Many fond memories of the Albemarle Senior High class of 1960 are reflected in these messages. Congratulations on a "MISSION" well accomplished and Best Wishes for Success in the future.

Mr. Harris, what a great web-site! Thanks for the great memories of letting me tag along to a few great Duke games (aren't they all) with you & Bobbi quite a number of years ago now (has it been THAT long ago!?), and for grooming another big Duke fan! Much respect and hope for many more years to come as the one & only voice of the Blue Devils. Go Duke!!

Thanks for a job well done with your representation of the Blue Devils. Thank you too for all the help you have given us in "our" hometown of Albemarle. You and Phyllis have so graciously participated in our 9/11 "Never Forget" events as well as our annual Chamber of Commerce Sports Hall of Fame. It's wonderful to see hometown people go out in the world and be successful beyond the confines of Stanly County. As the mother of a Duke grad, I have and always will be a die-hard "Dukie". p.s. wonderful website - kudos for your daughter!

Enjoyed your web site, especially old Albemarle photos, stimiulated many memories of long gone happy days in Albemarle...who would have guessed you and Woody (bulldog allums) would enjoy such parallel careers in sports broadcasting. Best to you and yours.

Bob, Thanks for being "our radio guy" all these years. Get ready to let it out on your mike - Coach Cut's gonna get it done!

Bob, I can honestly say that you never were considered just the radio/tv voice of the Blue Devils by the players. You have always been thought of as a friend and part of the team. Thanks for being there for all of the Duke football players over the years!

Bob, what stories we could tell from Albemarle High School days. However, this is not the place. Always enjoy listening to you broadcast Duke games.
